Guide for authors

The information below provides a thorough description of formal formatting requirement of JATRS. Authors are encouraged to diligently read these descriptions and make use of our templates accordingly. Submissions which do not adhere to the principles described below, will be sent back to the authors.

Manuscript style and templates

We provide manuscript templates for Word and Latex. Papers submitted to JATRS have to adhere to either of these templates. Otherwise, the submision will be sent back to the authors. Below is a screenshot from the first page of the Word template.

Citations, figures, and tables formatting.

All citations have to be provided in APA format. See here for a full description of the APA citation format. References to figures and tables should be made with full labels such as "Figure 1" or "Table 1".

Authors are permitted to post their work online in institutional/disciplinary repositories or on their own websites. Pre-print versions posted online should include a citation and link to the final published version in JATRS as soon as the issue is available; post-print versions (including the final publisher's PDF) should include a citation and link to the journal's website. The authors retain the copyright of their work. By submitting the the work to JATRS, the authors agree to grant the journal a non-exclusive right to publish the submission. All JATRS articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial License (CC BY NC), which permits use, distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited and is not used for commercial purposes.
